Twenty-seven children infected with E. coli virus linked to preschool in Reykjavík

Twenty-seven children have been infected with an E. coli virus linked to a preschool in Reykjavík, which was identified yesterday morning. Four of the infected children are currently hospitalized, including two in intensive care. One of the infected children had started adjusting to the Óskalandi preschool in Hveragerði earlier this week. While no children at that location have shown any symptoms, two departments at the preschool will be closed starting tomorrow.
