Anders Winnerskjold to become new mayor of Aarhus, Denmark

Anders Winnerskjold from the Social Democrats is set to become the new mayor of Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest municipality, as Jacob Bundsgaard prepares to step down from the position and from Danish politics. This announcement was made during a press conference on Thursday morning.

The 32-year-old Winnerskjold currently serves as the councilor for social affairs and employment in Aarhus. He was first elected to the city council in 2017 and received 4,861 votes in the most recent municipal election. Further updates are expected.
