Governing committee avoids stance on Ingilín D. Strøm’s alleged false information in Denmark
The governing committee, comprised of Hans Jacob Thomsen and Hanna Jensen, who hold majority positions, has chosen not to take a stance on whether Ingilín D. Strøm, the Minister of Environment, has knowingly or grossly negligently provided false information to the Parliament.
This conclusion follows the committee’s discussions during a meeting today.
Initially, the committee reached a provisional conclusion that the minister had indeed misled the Parliament, thereby violating the law governing ministerial responsibility. However, after Minister Strøm responded to this provisional conclusion with a lengthy 36-page document, the majority decided not to take a definitive position on whether she had acted improperly.
As a result, it has been proposed that an investigator be appointed to examine the matter further and arrive at a conclusion.
