The meeting of the government affairs committee concerning the appeal regarding Ingilín D. Strøm, the minister, has resumed, with all three committee members present.
During the morning session, Bárður á Steig Nielsen, representing the Union Party in the committee, reiterated his support for the preliminary conclusion reached by the unanimous committee a few weeks ago.
The other two members, Hans Jacob Thomsen from the Social Democratic Party, who serves as chair, and Hanna Jensen from the Progress Party, decided to continue discussing the matter.
The meeting was temporarily suspended around 11 AM when a parliamentary session began, but it was recently reconvened.
Hans Jacob Thomsen informed Kringvarpið that the committee aims to finalize the matter either today or this evening. However, it remains uncertain whether the decision will be announced today.
