Union leaders meet in Reykjavík to address wage demands in ongoing negotiations

The union Starvsfelagið, the Wage Department of the Ministry of Finance, and the Municipal Employers’ Association are meeting today to discuss the demands presented by the parties last Friday.

The contracts were valid until October 1st, but they will remain in effect as long as negotiations are ongoing.

Today, the parties will review the demands to ensure they share a mutual understanding of what is being requested.
