Bústaðir, the public housing agency in the Faroe Islands, has issued dismissal notices to seven employees today. According to reports, the layoffs include three property managers, a construction engineer, two staff members from the finance department, and one administrative worker.

The new director of Bústaðir, Jógvan Ósá, confirmed the layoffs, stating that the organization is facing significant operational challenges. Ósá explained that the current financial situation requires difficult decisions, leading to the reduction of staff.

The decision reflects the agency’s efforts to adapt to ongoing economic pressures.
