It will be challenging to find adjusted work if you have reduced work capacity.

Today, the Parliament will discuss a legislative proposal put forth by Sirið Stenberg, the Minister of Social Affairs, aimed at tightening regulations regarding when wage subsidies can be granted.

The reason for the proposed change is to curb rising expenditures, as stated by the Minister in the proposal.

The purpose of the system is to assist individuals in maintaining their connection to the labor market; however, how much will actually be saved?

Is there not a risk that people might fall into another public system without ties to the labor market?

These questions will be addressed on today’s broadcast of “Breddin.”

Johan Dahl, Árni Skaale, and Liljan Weihe, members of the parliamentary welfare committee, along with Eyðgunn Samuelsen, chair of the finance committee, will join the radio program to discuss the Minister’s proposal.

Tune in to “Breddin” on the radio or at kvf.fo at 10 AM.
