Weather forecast predicts light snow showers in northeastern Iceland
Weather conditions are generally clear across much of the country, though light snow showers are expected in the northeastern region. The weather pattern is influenced by a large low-pressure system located west of Ireland and a high-pressure area over Greenland.
In the Strandir region and the northeast, skies will be mostly cloudy with minor snow showers anticipated. The rest of the country can expect pleasant, partly cloudy weather. Daytime temperatures are expected to fluctuate from freezing in the interior of the northeast up to nine degrees Celsius in the south.
Winds are expected to decrease slightly tomorrow, Monday, with a forecast of light and varied winds and some scattered showers or flurries across numerous parts of the country on Tuesday.
