KUA initiates relief efforts in Lebanon for displaced individuals affected by crisis
The Finnish development cooperation organization Church Aid (KUA) has announced its initiation of relief efforts in Lebanon, as stated in a recent press release. This initiative is part of KUA’s new mission to assist those affected by the crisis in the Middle East, specifically focusing on providing support to individuals fleeing armed conflict in Lebanon. According to official assessments, over one million people have been forced to leave their homes.
“The aim is to address the basic needs of the displaced individuals. Our work includes food assistance, as well as improving hygiene and sanitation facilities in refugee shelters,” said Ikali Karvinen, Deputy Director of Operations at KUA.
Kirkon Ulkomaanapu has allocated €80,000 from its disaster fund to support these efforts.
