Helsinki fire department responds to false alarm after act of vandalism in parking garage

On Thursday evening, the Helsinki Fire Department was alerted to a medium-sized building fire. According to the mission code, the fire was underground. Nine units from the fire department were dispatched to a parking garage in Helsinki. It soon became apparent that the incident was actually an act of vandalism. A fire extinguisher had been discharged, causing a substance believed to be smoke. As such, there was no fire, as confirmed by the Helsinki Fire Department.
