Police investigate serious assault involving axe in Karkkila, Finland

Early on Saturday morning, police responded to an incident at a private residence in Karkkila. Katja Rekola, the chief of the West Uusimaa police department, reported that the suspect had assaulted the victim with an axe. Authorities received the alarm shortly after 4 AM. The suspect has been taken into custody, and the victim has been transported to a medical facility for further treatment.
