Sonja Ýr Þorbergsdóttir re-elected as chairperson of BSRB in Reykjavík

In a significant event held in Reykjavík, Sonja Ýr Þorbergsdóttir has been re-elected as the chairperson of BSRB for the next three years during the organization’s 47th congress. Sonja was the sole candidate for the position, securing an impressive 80% of the votes.

Fjölnir Sæmundsson, the chair of the National Union of Police Officers, has been elected as the new First Deputy Chair of BSRB, defeating Þórarni Eyfjörð, the chair of Sameykir, with 67% of the votes compared to nearly 29%.

Meanwhile, Arna Jakobína Björnsdóttir, chairperson of Kjalar, was re-elected as the Second Deputy Chair.
