Landsverk’s authority questioned over tunnel security assessment in Southern Islands

Landsverk has exceeded its authority by requesting a security assessment of the tunnel company’s solution, according to Bjarni Hammer, a member of the Parliament representing the Social Democratic Party and part of the political working group regarding the Southern Islands Tunnel.

Hammer has posed a question to Dennis Holm, the Minister of Transport, inquiring about the cost of the investigation, expressing concern that funds are being used without proper authorization.

Dennis Holm, as the head of the Road Authority, acknowledged the importance of investigating the situation, emphasizing that it is essential to adhere to the regulations.

Both Hammer and Holm were present in Breddan earlier in the afternoon to discuss the ongoing issues surrounding the tunnel project.
