Police urge driver to come forward after child struck by car in Espoo

The police in Western Uusimaa are urging a woman who struck a child with her car to come forward. The incident occurred in Espoo near the Urheilupuisto metro station on Thursday morning, August 22, around 9 a.m. The child, who was riding a bicycle, was crossing the pedestrian crossing when a white car, possibly a Volkswagen, collided with him, causing him to fall. The child sustained minor injuries.

According to the police, the female driver briefly stopped at the scene to check on the child’s condition but left shortly afterward. Authorities are requesting that the driver contact them. They are also seeking any eyewitness accounts of the incident. Police have reported that bystanders assisted the child immediately after the accident.
