U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met in the United States this evening. Following their meeting, Zelensky stated that their discussions were productive, focusing on the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Zelensky, who has been visiting the U.S. for the United Nations General Assembly in New York, highlighted that the two leaders reviewed the situation in detail and reached a consensus that the war must come to an end, with Vladimir Putin not allowed to emerge victorious. However, it’s unclear what Trump’s stance is on the matter. He has consistently promised to find favorable solutions for peace but has hinted at concessions regarding occupied territories in Ukraine during his speeches.

At the same time, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris also met with Zelensky. Following their discussion yesterday, she asserted that Ukraine should not accept any Russian conditions for surrender that would involve relinquishing occupied land.
