In a notable development, Paavo Väyrynen, a seasoned politician with decades of experience, has announced the purchase of the Keminmaa equestrian center property, which had fallen into bankruptcy. Väyrynen shared this news publicly on his Facebook page on Thursday.

According to his statement, he and his wife, Vuokko, plan to lease the center to their company, Pohjanranta, which will then sublease it to businesses and enthusiasts in the equestrian sector. This venture complements the hotel and restaurant services offered by their Pohjanranta establishment, located adjacent to the equestrian center.

Väyrynen revealed his intention to step away from party politics last December, marking a significant shift in his long-standing career.
