Imports to Faroe Islands decrease by nearly one billion kroner in first seven months of 2023

Imports to the Faroe Islands have decreased significantly, dropping nearly one billion kroner. During the first seven months of this year, imports totaled 5.9 billion kroner, reflecting a decline of over 14 percent, or 981.7 million kroner, compared to the same period last year, according to the Statistics Faroe Islands.
Exports have also seen a reduction. From January 1 to August 1, exports fell by 424.8 million kroner, marking a decrease of 5.9 percent. Notably, fish exports were down by approximately 300 million kroner.
