Electricity has been cut off from the Helsinki Arena. Henna Malmberg, the communications director of the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, reported that the power outage occurred on Monday. The association’s office is located adjacent to the Helsinki Arena, and electricity for the office is supplied through Helsinki Halli Oy, which manages the arena. The office employs between 10 to 20 staff members, depending on the day.
According to reports, backup power has been successfully restored. However, the arena management company has not commented on the situation. The company’s electricity contract experienced a disruption today. It has not been able to pay the electricity bill due to sanctions, despite having available funds.
