Green MP Fatim Diarra has her first child

Finnish Green Party MP Fatim Diarra has had her first child, Yle reports.

Diarra announced the birth on Instagram. She said she was extremely happy and grateful to be able to give birth in Finland with the care of skilled professionals, and thanked HUS healthcare staff.

Diarra became a member of parliament in 2023. She has also served as a deputy chair of the Green Party and as chair of Helsinki City Council.
