Iceland’s Road Administration warned of hazardous wind gusts reaching 25 metres per second in parts of the country, mbl.is reported.
With fairly strong southwesterly winds, gusts of up to 25 metres per second are expected in Ísafjarðardjúp, on the Tröllaskagi peninsula and in the southern East Fjords.
Winds are expected to ease somewhat in the afternoon, but gusts will continue on Tröllaskagi into the night. The gusts could pose a danger to vehicles that catch the wind.
