Police in Iceland’s capital region had a busy night on Saturday, responding to reports of assaults, clashes and robbery as people celebrated Halloween, mbl.is reports.

A serious assault was reported at a home in Garðabær after a fight between men. The alleged attacker was placed in custody and was due to be questioned on Sunday. Police did not know how seriously the injured person had been hurt.

Three adults were arrested after allegedly attacking a man and stealing his belongings. They were due to be questioned later on Sunday. Police did not say whether weapons were involved. The three were arrested in the jurisdiction of Police Station One, which serves central Reykjavik, West Town, Hlíðar and Seltjarnarnes, but it is not known whether the robbery itself took place there.

Two teenagers of upper secondary school age were charged with carrying weapons and disobeying police orders after a teen party got out of hand. The police report did not specify what weapons they had. Hjördís Sigurbjartsdóttir, a station manager with the capital region police, said there had been many parties and people out in the city centre, and that many had spent the night in police cells.
