Danish journalist and television presenter Troels Mylenberg has died aged 56 after being diagnosed with incurable cancer, DR reports. His family confirmed his death to TV 2 Fyn.

“The whole family was gathered around him when he found peace,” his family said in a written statement.

Mylenberg became ill with cancer in 2025 and was told at the beginning of the year that it was incurable. He worked as a news presenter at TV 2 shortly before his death.

His book, “Skumring,” was published recently. Mylenberg described it as a book about living in the light even as death knocks. His family said they were comforted that he had completed and published it, and hoped his account of life with death close by could offer hope and comfort to others in similar situations.

His family said they would remember his love, warmth and humour, which he kept until the end. “Even in the most difficult time, he managed to make us laugh,” they said. “We will miss him deeply.”
