Suspected electrical fault halts trains on Stockholm-Gothenburg route

A suspected electrical fault has halted rail traffic between Västerås and Arboga since around midday Saturday, disrupting services between Stockholm and Gothenburg, SVT reports.

The disruption also affects trains on the Köping–Västerås route. SJ regional trains have been rerouted and will not stop in Köping.

Staff are inspecting the overhead power line, the Swedish Transport Administration said. Services were expected to resume at around 3pm.
