Most of Finland will have dry, unusually mild weather for All Saints’ Day on Saturday, making cemetery visits and candle-lighting possible without rain, Yle reports. Only northern Lapland should expect light precipitation, and temperatures are high for the time of year, according to Yle meteorologist Elias Paakkanen.
Cloud cover will be fairly extensive across the country, with sunshine breaking through only in places. Bright, sunny conditions are therefore unlikely for memorial gatherings.
The weather is set to change on Sunday as rain moves in from the west towards central Finland. Much of the south and centre should stay dry during the afternoon, but rain will spread southeast during the evening and night. Those planning late-day outdoor events, especially in southern Finland, should be prepared for rain.
On Monday, rain will continue in the south and southeast. In Lapland, skies are expected to clear from Sunday, with more widespread clearing on Monday.
