Woman taken to hospital after falling from ladder at work

A woman was taken to the emergency department at Landspítali hospital after falling from a ladder at work and hitting her head, mbl.is reported.
Police were notified of the incident as a workplace accident. An ambulance took the woman to hospital for further examination. The fall happened in postal code 102 in Reykjavík, which includes Vatnsmýri, the city’s university area, Skerjafjörður, part of Vesturbær and Hlíðarendi.
Police also stopped two drivers, in the Hlíðahverfi and Árbær neighbourhoods, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Both were released after blood samples were taken. A shop theft was reported in the Háaleiti and Bústaðir neighbourhoods and dealt with at the scene. Police handled 68 cases in total that day.
