KH Group CEO Carl Haglund will leave his post, but remain in the role for up to six months or until a successor is appointed, Yle reports.

The company has started a recruitment process for a new CEO. Haglund thanked the company’s staff, board and partners in a statement, saying the group was in a strong enough position for him to step down. He said the focus would be on finishing the current year strongly.

Haglund was appointed to lead KH Group last year. He was previously due to become CEO of Aktia, but the bank’s board dismissed him before he started. Media reports said the decision followed claims that he had spread false allegations about other bank executives.
