Third suspect remanded in Tampere manslaughter investigation

A third man has been remanded in custody on probable cause of manslaughter in Tampere’s Kaukajärvi district, Yle reports. The Pirkanmaa District Court ordered the 33-year-old’s remand on Wednesday.

Police suspect the killing took place between 9 and 12 October in a private apartment on Riipuksenkatu. All three men suspected in the case are now in custody, chief inspector Pasi Nieminen said.

The other two men, both around 40, were remanded last Friday. They have previous criminal records. The victim was also an adult.

Police are continuing their investigation. Charges must be brought by 7 January at the latest.
