Finland’s Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has received several reports this week of scam messages sent in the names of accommodation providers, Yle reports. The messages use customers’ genuine booking information.
The booking details may have leaked from reservation systems or from accommodation providers. The messages ask customers to confirm their booking by entering payment card details through a link.
A Traficom expert advises people to check whether a message is genuine by contacting the accommodation provider through its official contact details.
