The Sexpo Foundation, which provides sexual counselling, plans to lay off all its staff because of cuts to grants from the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA), Yle reports.
Sexpo says most of its activities are funded by STEA grants. The layoffs would take effect in stages during spring 2027 if the foundation does not receive the funding it needs for next year.
Proposals for how STEA funding will be allocated are due to be published at the end of this year, with final decisions expected in early 2027.
Sexpo also provides up-to-date information on sex and sexuality. Its counselling service began in 1969.
