KVF explores life after cancer in new radio series

KVF is asking whether there is a clear dividing line between life before and after cancer in a new radio series about the challenges that can follow treatment.

Before a diagnosis, life may revolve around work, family, friends, hobbies and everyday routines. A cancer diagnosis can change that suddenly, splitting life into a before and an after, the broadcaster says.

During illness, life can be shaped by tests, treatment, waiting and results. But when treatment ends and a doctor says a patient is cancer-free, life may not simply return to how it was. Some people see life after cancer as a new beginning, while others face lasting effects, fear and a reality different from the one they knew before.

The radio series, Afterwards: Life after cancer, airs on Wednesdays at 16:05 and is available on KVF Ljóð to listen to at any time.
