Tórshavn may divert Smyril over planned harbour-fee exemption

Tórshavn Harbour could be forced to send the vessel Smyril to Kollafjørður or into Sund if the need becomes great enough, KVF reports.

Heðin Mortensen, chair of Tórshavn’s Harbour Committee, said he would not rule out Smyril being given lower priority in Tórshavn Harbour. The government plans to pass legislation exempting Strandfaraskip Landsins from harbour fees.
