Foreign parties have shown strong interest in life sciences company Genis, while raising funds in Iceland has proved difficult, mbl.is reported. The issue was discussed at the company’s annual meeting yesterday.
“The funding environment for life sciences companies is challenging, and we are reviewing our approach,” outgoing CEO Sesselja Ómarsdóttir said.
Genis founder Róbert Guðfinnsson said the coming months would determine the company’s future in Iceland. He said the government’s innovation policy did not match its actions.
