SMHI warns of rain and snow across several regions
Sweden Sweden’s weather service SMHI has issued warnings for rain and snow in several parts of the country, SVT reports.
On Thursday, rain is expected to turn to snow or sleet in northern Värmland, Dalarna west of Lake Siljan and southern Jämtland. Periods of heavy precipitation could cause traffic problems, including reduced visibility, SMHI said.
A yellow warning for rain is also in effect in parts of Gävleborg. The rain is expected to intensify during Thursday, with a total of 60 to 100 millimetres possible before it moves away on Friday morning. The warnings remain in place until Friday morning.
