Drone alert closes Vilnius airport as NATO aircraft are sent up

Vilnius airport in Lithuania has closed after a suspected drone alert, SVT reports, citing Reuters. NATO aircraft were sent up after the alert.

Lithuania’s National Crisis Management Centre said the drone was reported to have flown in from Belarus.

Residents in the Vilnius region have been urged to prepare to seek shelter if necessary.
