Disagreements over governance and decision-making led Landsvirkjun chief executive Hörður Arnarson to decide to leave his post, mbl.is reported.

Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir said Arnarson told her of his decision at a meeting and cited disagreements over governance. She said she did not know the details of the matter and had little to add to what he had already made public.

Finance Minister Daði Már Kristófersson said he was not aware of any single point of disagreement. “This has been about the approach to decision-making,” he said.

Kristófersson also firmly rejected any link between Arnarson’s departure and a change in Landsvirkjun’s dividend policy.
