Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir, reykjavik, sick leave

Reykjavík city councillor and former mayor Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir is taking sick leave until 30 November, mbl.is reported.

The leave was noted in minutes from the city council’s executive committee meeting on Friday. A letter from the Reykjavík City Council Office, dated two days earlier, said it had received notification from Heiða Björg of her sick leave, along with a medical certificate confirming her absence until 30 November.

The letter says elected representatives in Reykjavík who are unable to work because of illness or an accident continue to receive their salary for up to one year.
