Yle reports that a dispute over the plot rent for a housing company in Lehtisaari, Helsinki, will continue after the Supreme Court granted Vantaa parish union leave to appeal. The union owns the plot.

The dispute has lasted about 10 years. In March 2026, the Helsinki Court of Appeal ruled that the rent should be reduced by 40 percent.

The district court had rejected the housing company’s request to adjust its land lease agreement. The case will now be considered by the Supreme Court.
