Teachers call for dedicated work phones

The Faroese Teachers’ Association is calling for teachers to receive work phones that are used only during designated hours, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Association chairman Jákup Eli S. Olsen said calls to teachers outside working hours had become increasingly common. The calls are made to teachers’ private phone numbers.

The aim of providing work phones is to create a clearer separation between teachers’ working hours and their time off. The phone would serve as a tool for teachers during working hours, Olsen said.
