Nord Vire plans 130-megawatt data centre in Imatra

Nord Vire is planning a data centre in Korvenkanta, Imatra, Yle reports.

The city and the company are preparing a land lease agreement for an area of about 30 hectares in Mionipuisto, in Korvenkanta.

Nord Vire aims to build a data centre with capacity of approximately 130 megawatts. Current plans include two data centre buildings, an electrical substation and a separate area for using waste heat.

Nord Vire is developing the project and preparing the site for a future operator. The operator has not yet been selected.
