Denmark’s government believes children and young people know too little about the Realm Community and is funding initiatives to strengthen their knowledge, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
The first Realm Community Week for Danish schools will be held in week 46, in November of the next school year.
Since the 2023-24 school year, the Realm Community has been required teaching material in history classes in Denmark’s public schools.
Funding will also allow the North Atlantic Upper Secondary Class to continue. Midnám á Kambsdali is participating on behalf of the Faroe Islands.
School classes in Greenland and the Faroe Islands can now also receive funding for travel.
