Man arrested after attacking driver with fire extinguisher

A man was arrested after attacking another person in a car with a fire extinguisher, mbl.is reports. He smashed the vehicle’s windows with the extinguisher before throwing it at the driver.

The man was detained in a police cell while the case is investigated.

The incident was among the calls handled by police in the capital region between 5pm on Tuesday and 5am on Wednesday.

Police also investigated a reported break-in at a café. The burglar had left the scene when officers arrived, and the case remains under investigation. Officers were also called to a shop following a reported theft.

In another case, a customer ordered food and drinks at a restaurant but was unable to pay. The matter was resolved with an on-site report.

A landlord also sought police assistance in removing a tenant from an apartment after the tenant had made threats.

Four drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. One of them had been deprived of their driving licence.
