Man arrested after Reykjavik assault as business burglary reported

Police arrested a person after an assault was reported in downtown Reykjavik, mbl.is reported, citing the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police log. The suspect was being held in custody.

The police log covered incidents handled between 5am and 5pm on Sunday. Officers also received a report of a burglary and theft at a downtown business, but no suspect had been identified.

A woman suffered minor injuries after cutting her finger in a workplace accident in district 105.

Police also responded to a rear-end collision in Breiðholt. Those involved sustained minor injuries, and the case was dealt with at the scene.

Two drivers were stopped in district 201 in Kópavogur for using mobile phones without hands-free equipment. Both cases were settled with fines.
