Burst pipes leave 30 homes in Eiði without water

Around 30 homes in Eiði have been without water, or have had it only intermittently, for several days, KVF reports.

The municipality has offered residents access to toilets, showers and other facilities at Hólmahúsið.

Old water pipes have burst. Repairs were carried out, but another section then broke.

Deputy mayor Tove K. Samuelsen expects the problem to be resolved on Friday.
