Aurora shines brightly over Hafnarfjörður

The northern lights were clearly visible in Hafnarfjörður on Monday evening, mbl.is reported.
They were also prominent in many parts of Iceland, including the capital region, according to natural-hazard specialist Bjarki Kaldalóns Friis, who spoke to mbl.is.
He said the aurora had been visible since August. Clear skies on Monday evening improved visibility, with the lights particularly noticeable between 10pm and 11pm.
