Drivers warned of strong winds in southeast Iceland
Drivers can expect strong winds in southeast Iceland late on Sunday evening and overnight, mbl.is reports, citing a notice from a Vegagerðin meteorologist.
Wind gusts could reach 35 metres per second, particularly in Öræfi. The strongest winds are expected from midnight until around noon on Monday, and motorists are being urged to exercise caution. Iceland’s Met Office will issue a yellow weather warning for southeast Iceland this evening.
