Cold Sunday gives way to warmer weather on Monday

Finland will experience a chilly Sunday before warmer weather arrives on Monday, Yle reports. Temperatures will reach about 5 degrees Celsius in the north and only around 15 degrees in the south.

Gusty northerly winds will bring cold air across the country. Showers will be most common in an area stretching from eastern Finland to eastern Lapland. Southern and western Finland, as well as much of western Lapland, will remain dry.

The night before Monday will be cold nationwide. Frost is expected across much of central and northern Finland, while many parts of the south may also experience ground frost.

Warmer air will begin moving in from the west on Monday. The weather will be dry and widely sunny, although cloud cover will spread into the north from the west, followed by rain in the evening.

On Tuesday, warm and humid air will flow into Finland from the southwest, bringing scattered rain. Rain is expected in western and northern Finland, while eastern parts of the country will remain dry during the day.
