Power restored after outage hit Reykjavík and Mosfellsbær

Power has been restored to all areas affected by an outage in Reykjavík and Mosfellsbær on Friday evening, mbl.is reports, citing Veitur.

The outage began shortly before 9pm and affected parts or all of Grafarholt and Grafarvogur in Reykjavík, as well as Úlfarsárdalur in Mosfellsbær.

Veitur said the fault occurred inside a substation at Korpa. It remains unclear whether the outage was linked to an earthquake near Kleifarvatn around the same time, although that is not considered likely because the earthquake measured just over 3 in magnitude.
