Information technology company Advania has launched Advania ALT, a new solution that enables companies and institutions to use leading artificial intelligence models securely and responsibly, mbl.is reported.

The solution provides access to different AI models through a single interface while allowing organisations to retain full control over their data, security, usage and costs. Advania said it is the first solution of its kind to be available in Europe.

“After significant development, we are extremely proud to launch Advania ALT and enable Icelandic companies and institutions to use a secure and scalable foundation for their AI journey,” Advania chief executive Hildur Einarsdóttir said in a statement.

Advania said the AI runs on computing power located in Iceland, meaning customer data never leaves Icelandic jurisdiction.

The solution has also been developed to meet European requirements on data protection and digital sovereignty, while allowing companies to develop their AI environments in line with rapid changes in the market.

Advania ALT will also be available to customers in the Nordic countries and the United Kingdom from September, with jurisdiction secured separately in each country.

Advania’s autumn conference will take place at Harpa, a conference venue, on September 10. The solution will be presented at the conference exhibition area. A separate AI event will be held the previous day at Advania’s headquarters in Guðrúnartún, focusing on how companies can build a reliable foundation for automation and artificial intelligence.
