Prosecutors have charged five people over a fatal workplace accident at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Yle reports.
Four people face charges of an occupational safety offence, while a fifth has been charged with causing death and endangering traffic safety. All five suspects worked for the same employer, which prosecutors are seeking to fine as a corporation.
The suspects have denied committing any crime.
The accident took place on the airport apron in November 2024. A worker was crushed between a moving aircraft and a vehicle used to empty aircraft toilets.
The preliminary investigation examined the employer’s responsibilities for workplace safety and the responsibility of the person moving the aircraft.
