Fire in Holtagarðar sends one to hospital with smoke inhalation

One person was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in an office building in Holtagarðar this morning, mbl.is reports.

All fire service stations were called to the scene, and firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 10 minutes, according to Stefán Már Kristinsson, a fire service supervisor in the capital area, who spoke to mbl.is.

The fire caused some damage to the room, although the extent was not immediately known. The police technical department has taken over the scene.
